Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required. License: Kansas License (LRT) required. Certifications: BLS, ARRT R required. Must-Have: Experience in Interventional Radiology and special procedures. Skills in PACS, equipment setup, and maintaining sterile fields. Ability to perform a variety of interventional techniques including chest tube placement, embolization, and biopsy procedures. Description: The Interventional Radiology Technologist will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, depending on the day. The role requires expertise in interventional radiology procedures and special techniques. The technologist will assist with various procedures including aortography, IVC filter placement, gastroenterostomy tube placement, and others. On-call responsibility is required for 1-2 weeknights and every 4-6 weekends. Regular floating between departments may be necessary. Skills in using GE Innova IGS and EPIC EMR are essential. The position involves stocking supplies, preparing access sites, and managing central venous access. Candidates should have experience with isolation precautions and using rapid response teams. The role requires maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout procedures. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are important for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The expected patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The technologist will participate in maintaining equipment and inventory. Completion of required compliance modules and training will be necessary prior to starting. Flexible scheduling and the ability to adapt to changing environments are critical for success in this role.
