Job Title: Polysomnographer, Sleep Technologist Profession: Cardiopulmonary Specialty: Polysomnographer, Sleep Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in polysomnography, neurodiagnostics, or respiratory therapy required. License: Current unencumbered Polysomnographic Technologist (PSGT) License required upon submission. Certifications: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the BRPT required. Healthcare Provider BLS required. Must-Have: Graduate from an American Medical Association (AMA) approved college program or one year of relevant experience required. Description: Performs patient set-ups for overnight sleep testing. Records overnight polysomnographic (PSG) and video recordings of patient's sleep activity for diagnostic evaluation. Communicates and coordinates activities with the Sleep Lab Section leader/supervisor. Administers sleep medications per policy. Provides patients with various diagnostic tests to detect sleep disturbances and neurological-related disorders.
