Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician for a travel assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. This role requires the certified technician to assist in patient evaluations and testing within a structured weekday schedule.

Key Responsibilities of the Ophthalmic Technician
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms
  • Take complete patient history focusing on eye symptoms
  • Review patient allergies and medications
  • Perform visual acuity tests and intraocular pressure measurements
  • Administer eye drops in preparation for exams
  • Conduct visual fields, A/B ultrasonic scans, autorefraction, OCT, and other tests
  • Monitor provider schedules and patient flow
  • Coordinate information necessary for patient records
  • Maintain and stock supply rooms and exam rooms
  • Clean and maintain equipment, coordinate repairs
  • Participate in employer-sponsored training and continuing education

Requirements of the Ophthalmic Technician
  • GED or HS Diploma
  • Certification as COA, COT, or COMT by JCAHPO
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • BLS Certification
