Pay: $1,884.80 weekly

Shifts: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in New Hyde Park, NY. This role involves supervising and coordinating the staff and daily operations of the Central Sterile services department, ensuring compliance with sterilization techniques, and serving as a liaison between departments.

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician
  • Supervise and coordinate the staff and daily operations of Central Sterile services.
  • Ensure staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies, and procedures.
  • Document sterilization activities and maintain department records.
  • Serve as a liaison between Central Sterile and perioperative areas, resolving issues.
  • Ensure proper care and handling of instrumentation from decontamination.
  • Accept and tag fast tracks, and assign daily job tasks to employees.

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician
  • Current Registered Central Supply Technician Certification (CRCST or CSPD) not expiring during the term of assignment.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Leadership/management experience required.
  • Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift/carry 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity, ability to stand, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
