Location: Bethpage, NY

Pay: $1,884.80 weekly

Shifts: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Bethpage, NY. This role requires expertise in sterile processing within a busy, cutting-edge reprocessing center that supports multiple healthcare facilities. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of sterilization and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician
  • Supervise and coordinate the staff and daily operations of Central Sterile services.
  • Ensure staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in the maintenance of department records and documentation of sterilization activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between Central Sterile department and perioperative areas, resolving arising issues.
  • Ensure proper care and handling of instrumentation received through the decontamination area.
  • Accept and tag fast-track items, and assign daily job tasks to employees.

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician
  • Current Registered Central Supply Technician Certification (CRCST or CSPD)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Leadership/management experience
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Ability to lift/carry 25 pounds and perform tasks that require manual dexterity
  • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written)
