Job Title: GI/Endo Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Endoscopy Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 08:30 - 19:00 Experience: Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience License: Active Surgical Tech/CST License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Proficient in Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Description: The Endoscopy Department operates in a fast-paced environment. The team applies a patient-centered, positive, team approach. High quality care is delivered for patients needing a range of endoscopic procedures. This includes patients with acute or chronic GI disorders. Conditions related to the stomach, esophagus, intestinal tract, pancreas, and biliary systems are included. The position involves assisting with various procedures such as biopsies, colonoscopies, and endoscopic ultrasounds. Technicians will handle equipment sterilization, infection control, and specimen labeling. Participation in high-level disinfection and compliance with safety protocols is necessary. Candidates will be expected to have experience with various endoscopic equipment and techniques. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to work effectively within a team. This role does not require floating to other departments. Candidates need to be reliable and detail-oriented to maintain high standards of patient care. The goal is to ensure a safe and secure environment for all patients.
