Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/Director, the Surgical Reprocessing Technician is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, assembling, packaging, disinfecting, and sterilizing all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical teams across various departments, including inpatient, outpatient, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Delivery Room, and satellite locations. The technician documents and monitors all sterilization processes, ensuring compliance with standards for methods such as steam, ETOH, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants. Additional responsibilities include:

• Supplying various departments by anticipating instrumentation needs and assembling procedure-specific case carts.
• Receiving, unpacking, shelving supplies, and maintaining appropriate par levels with sterile supply management principles.
• Collaborating with surgical specialty teams to ensure supplies for each patient are available when needed.
• Preparing case carts according to surgeon preference cards, including supplies, equipment, instruments, and implants.

• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and hospital personnel.
• Computer skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Central Service Certification.

• Completion of a medical terminology course.
• BLS certification.
