    Travel: Surgical Technologist Certified

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Mid Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) | Projected Start: 07/27/2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare patients for surgery including skin preparation, positioning, and transport to and from the Operating Room in accordance with facility standards.
    • Establish and maintain the sterile field; pass instruments and sutures to the physician and assist as directed throughout surgical procedures.
    • Set up the Operating Room by arranging tables, instruments, and supplies according to case type using physician preference cards as a guide; keep preference cards current and complete.
    • Monitor and control the surgical environment including traffic control, dress code compliance, and adherence to OR sanitation policies and procedures.
    • Identify and care for biological specimens; adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions in all patient care situations.
    • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the use and care of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment while maintaining aseptic technique throughout all procedures.
    Required Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required.
    • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or active LVN/LPN license required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required — American Heart Association (AHA) only.
    • Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Ability to proficiently scrub in at least 3 specialty areas such as Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, or Robotics highly preferred.
    • Familiarity with facility policies and procedures regarding decontamination, processing, and sterilization of instruments and supplies.
