Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Loris, SC

Contract | Days | Onsite

• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Apply knowledge of aseptic and septic technique throughout all surgical procedures
• Perform between-case room cleaning and terminal cleaning of the operating room according to established standards, including wiping down lights, booms, and tables prior to first case
• Safely transport patients and beds to and from the Holding Room and Operating Room, verifying proper patient identification
• Obtain and stock supplies, equipment, and medications in a timely manner; maintain inventory of oxygen and carbon dioxide tanks
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and facility operations at all times

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• Working knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical environment standards
• Ability to safely transfer and transport patients to and from the operating room table
• Commitment to professional development and continuing education

• Prior experience in an operating room or surgical services setting
• Familiarity with sub-sterile and ante area cleaning protocols
