Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 4x10 Schedule (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain the sterile field; pass instruments and sutures to the physician and assist as directed during surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to case type using physician preference cards.
- Prepare patient skin for surgery, position patients according to procedure type, and transport patients to and from the operating room.
- Monitor and control the surgical environment, including traffic control, dress code compliance, and OR sanitation policies.
- Identify, handle, and care for biological specimens in accordance with facility standards.
- Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions and maintain aseptic technique throughout all patient care situations.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or active LVN/LPN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required — American Heart Association (AHA) only.
- Minimum of 2 years of Neurosurgery experience required.
- CVOR experience required.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in General, Orthopedic, Plastics, Urology, ENT, and Vascular surgery strongly preferred.
- Ability to proficiently scrub a minimum of 3 specialty areas (e.g., Transplants, Open Heart, Neurology, Robotics, Titanium Rib) highly preferred.
- 2 or more years of overall surgical technologist experience preferred.
