Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician - OR - Operating Room

Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Pay: $2,232 per week

Shifts: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, 4 days a week

Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician specializing in Operating Room procedures for a travel assignment in Corpus Christi, TX. This role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing critical support in neurosurgery and various other surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician
  • Prepare and care for pre-operative patients, maintaining aseptic techniques.
  • Assist in patient skin preparation according to hospital standards.
  • Transport and position patients for surgery, identifying and caring for biological specimens.
  • Set up tables, instruments, and supplies for operations.
  • Scrub in and assist with surgical procedures across various specialties.
  • Maintain sterile fields, pass instruments, and assist surgeons as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Use and maintain surgical instruments and equipment proficiently.
  • Adhere to policies for decontamination, processing, and sterilization of instruments and supplies.
  • Adapt care methods to meet specific developmental and cultural needs of patients.

Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only) required.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in neurosurgery and CVOR experience required.
  • General, orthopedic, plastics, urology, ENT, and vascular surgery experience preferred.
