Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5x8 (09:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: CST licensure required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Strong experience in Neuro, Spine, and Orthopedic procedures required Experience with Da Vinci surgical systems required Description: Assists in preparing for and during surgery. Performs routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department. Ensures quality patient care is maintained. Experience with Neuro, Spine, and Total Joint cases is required. The candidate must have strong skills in handling various surgical instruments and equipment. Experience in an interdisciplinary team in a surgical setting is essential. Ability to adapt to varying workflows, including potential float requirements to different campuses as needed. Availability for on-call shifts may be required. Candidates should be familiar with appropriate sterilization and decontamination techniques. Knowledge of specific surgical procedures and the ability to assist in a fast-paced environment is necessary. The role may involve interaction with patients of various age groups and diagnoses.
