Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: Required Certifications: NBSTSA, BLS Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in surgical settings - Experience in Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Davinci Xi) cases highly preferred - Required to work rotating weekends - Will be responsible for on-call shifts up to 4 times per month Description: The position is for an OR Certified Surgical Technologist. The CST will work 4x10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There will be a rotating weekend requirement. The CST must provide a radiation badge, which is mandatory. Experience in total joints, spine, trauma, crani, ENT, Robotics, and trauma/burns is necessary. First-time travelers are accepted for this role. The operating room is a busy environment and covers various surgical specialties. The team consists of both Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists. The position requires flexibility to float to meet the needs of different units. All required time off must be submitted at the time of application. The candidate must be prepared for emergency response duties during hurricane season. Completion of all compliance requirements prior to the start date is essential. A South Carolina license is preferred but candidates with a pending license will be considered. This role involves significant collaboration with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
