Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Surgical Technology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience required License: NBSTSA Tech License or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: - Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred - Ability to scrub Description: The operating room cares for a wide variety of patients. Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma. There are multiple robotic systems utilized across various services. The surgical team is involved in complex transplant procedures including livers, kidneys, and hearts. Candidates must possess strong technical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure optimal patient care. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in the operating room is required.
