Travel Surgical First Assistant – Cardiac / Vein Harvester

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Hours per Week | Days | Start Time: 7:00 AM – End Time: 5:00 PM | On-Call: Every third weekday and every third weekend

Key Responsibilities

Perform independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest procedures utilizing Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro systems
Serve as Open Heart First Assistant during cardiovascular surgical procedures
Assist with CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, open and endovascular aortic repair, and thoracic procedures
Participate in on-call rotation every third weekday and every third weekend
Float to the main OR as needed based on unit requirements

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience using Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro
Minimum 2 years of Open Heart First Assistant experience
Active certification as CSFA, CFA, or SA-C required
Ability to fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience across a broad range of cardiovascular procedures including TAVR and thoracic cases
Prior travel assignment experience in a cardiovascular OR setting
