Surgical Services Technologist – First Assist (CSFA / CSA)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities- Perform first assist duties across a broad range of surgical specialties including Neuro, General/Trauma, Robotics, Ortho, ENT, Vascular, GYN, GI, and Plastics
- Assist surgeons directly in the operating room throughout all phases of surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EPIC electronic health records
- Float to other areas of the surgical services department based on facility needs
- Adhere to all facility compliance, safety, and infection control standards within a Level II Trauma Center environment
Required Qualifications- Active CSFA or CSA certification required
- CSA certification through VDHP required
- Minimum of 1 year of operating room experience as a Surgical Assistant
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Virginia license in hand at time of submittal or valid compact license with proof provided
- EPIC electronic health records experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or high-volume surgical environment
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties within the last year
