Job Title: Surgical Support Aide Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Process Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 full year of customer service experience required License: Permanent Ohio license required at time of submission Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: High School diploma or GED Description: The Surgical Support Aide is responsible for lifting heavy items and transporting patients. The role includes cleaning and turning over rooms to ensure a sterile environment. Travelers will be required to work a modified schedule during the first three weeks of the contract. This includes working 1st shift to familiarize themselves with the unit. Candidates must have 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for, preferred to be within one location but not required. Active certifications are required with nothing pending. All references must be from managers, supervisors, or directors in the specialty applying for. References should be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. A background check will be conducted, and open cases will lead to disqualification. Candidates must be nicotine-free, with a negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start. The ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation is necessary.
