Job Title: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 4x10-Hour (06:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year of experience required, but first-time travelers are encouraged to apply License: Required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, CSFA Must-Have: Level 1 experience required Floating to General OR required Description: The position involves working as a CVOR Certified Surgical Tech and First Assist. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 16:30, with call requirements. Candidates must have certification from NBSTSA and hold a CSFA credential. Experience in Level 1 trauma is necessary. The role involves assisting in various surgical procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR. Candidates should be well-versed in aseptic techniques and sterilization/disinfection protocols. Familiarity with equipment documentation and specific surgical tools is required. Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. Successful candidates will be part of an experienced team and work in new surgical suites. Candidates should have experience with patient diagnoses such as coronary artery disease and valve disease. Support for interdisciplinary teams will be provided. Travelers must comply with all regulatory and health safety requirements.
