Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified Surgical First Assistant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Pending State License accepted; must be active by start date Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required Must-Have: Experience in neuro, vascular, orthopedic, and outpatient procedures Must have experience with XI da Vinci surgical system Description: The Certified Surgical First Assistant position is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures. The candidate will provide support in various surgical disciplines including neuro, vascular, ortho, and outpatient surgeries. The role requires participation in call shifts two times per week and two weekend shifts every six weeks. Weekend call shifts will be scheduled as part of a six-week rotation. The position involves working with a daily patient census of approximately 35. The unit consists of 16 rooms, providing care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. All candidates must possess experience with the Cerner charting system. The role involves adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures. Travelers must be willing to work holidays as per unit rotation. Candidates should be prepared to provide all required certifications prior to starting. Professional conduct is essential, and any issues may lead to contract termination.
