Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assist Profession: Surgical First Assist Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (11a-9p, Monday through Thursday) Experience: 2+ Years of CSFA experience required; Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, OB experience preferred License: Michigan license verification required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NBSTSA, NCCT Must-Have: - Two or more years of experience as a Certified Surgical First Assist - Certifications from NBSTSA or NCCT Description: A strict attendance policy is in place to advocate for the patient population. Any contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for a scheduled shift three times will be terminated immediately. Situations such as communicable diseases or hospitalizations with supporting evidence will be reviewed favorably. This policy will begin on 6/1/2024. Surgical services represent a full spectrum of procedures and tests across various specialties. General elective surgeries, as well as critical or life-saving procedures, are areas of excellence. We are committed to providing innovative surgical techniques and tools while enhancing care and outcomes for all surgical patients. A skills checklist completed within one year of application is required for specialties. Physical copies of certifications are only required if listed above. On-call requirement is one night a week from 9p-7a, and one weekend a month from 7p-7a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Holidays are also required.
