Job Title: Surgical First Assistant Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: First Assist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-17:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: CSFA, CFA, or SA-C Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. At least 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest utilizing either Terumo or Maquet. At least 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience. Description: Travel position for a Surgical First Assistant. Shift is 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM. The assignment duration is for 13 weeks with guaranteed hours of 36. The unit performs various procedures including CABG, Valve repair/replacement, TAVR, aorta repair, both open and endoscopic, and thoracic surgeries. There are 2.5 CVORs available in the unit. Travelers will be required to rotate call every third weekend and every third weekday. Ideal candidates will have experience in first assisting cardiac surgeries. Best personality fit is sought for the role. Dress code will be provided by the facility.
