Job Title: Travel Support Specialist

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, on-site travel support to the Assistant Secretary and senior leadership team, including Deputy Assistant Secretaries and SES officials.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute domestic and limited international travel arrangements, including itineraries, airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and security considerations.
- Serve as the primary contact for leadership travel coordination, ensuring seamless execution of travel plans.
- Support real-time travel needs before and during trips, making rapid adjustments as directed by senior leadership.
- Ensure full compliance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and agency travel policies, including preparing and processing travel authorizations and vouchers.
- Assist with travel closeout activities, documentation, and reconciliation.
- Track and support travel budgets, providing accurate cost estimates and forecasts for leadership travel.
- Collaborate with the Immediate Office staff, executive assistants, and leadership teams, maintaining discretion regarding sensitive schedules and movements.
- Support ad hoc travel-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience supporting Assistant Secretary, Deputy Assistant Secretary, and SES-level federal travel.
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR).
- Experience managing the entire travel lifecycle: planning, execution, modification, and closeout.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility executive environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support on-site work in Washington, DC, full-time.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance, PIV card, and ACF GFE.
