Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: SPT Specialty: Central Sterile Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 15:30 Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. Neurosurgery and orthopedic experience is required. This position is within a 225-bed specialty care facility. It offers services in various areas including heart and vascular, cancer care, brain and spine, rehabilitation, behavioral health, digestive health, bariatric medicine and weight management, women's health, and pediatrics. The facility is recognized for its imaging, surgery, and laboratory services. It is located in the central region of Michigan's upper peninsula. It serves as the largest community in the peninsula and is home to a university. Housing recommendations are available upon request. Various rental options can be found through local contacts. No pets, more than two people, and other variables are negotiable for housing. Attendance policy is strictly enforced. A formal warning is issued after the second absence. Termination of the contract will occur after the third absence unless prior agreement is reached with the unit leader. All absences must be made up to maintain contracted hours. The facility is not responsible for any early termination fees if the contract is terminated for just cause.
