Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience required. License: Valid State License required. Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA required. Must-Have: - Experience working without supervision. - Experience in acute hospital settings. - Travel experience required. - Specific charting experience preferred; Epic experience is a plus. - Ability to work with loaner trays and consignment trays. - Skills in high-level disinfection (HLD), sterilization wrapping procedures, and equipment documentation. - Ability to organize trays and identify proper selection of wrapping materials. Description: 5+ years of experience is required. Candidates will work independently on this shift. They will have experience in cleaning various types of medical equipment. Knowledge of sterilization processes, including chemical agents for decontamination, is essential. Candidates should be familiar with various types of scopes and their reprocessing. This role involves organizing instruments, labeling properly, and managing case carts. Experience with specific medical specialties, such as orthopedics, urology, and endoscopy, is beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate aseptic technique and thorough understanding of sterilization monitoring. Travelers may float to other locations based on census needs. A 7-year work history verification is required for all candidates. Candidates must provide accurate work history information for verification purposes.
