Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Pending state license accepted Certifications: One of the following: CBSPD or CRST Must-Have: Experience with CensiTrac Description: The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the sterile processing of surgical instruments and equipment. The position requires expertise in aseptic technique and sterilization processes. The technician will manage the cleaning, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments. Knowledge of sterilization systems and biological indicators is essential. The role involves following strict protocols to ensure that all instruments are safely prepared for surgical procedures. Experience in a Trauma Level I setting is preferred. The technician will work collaboratively with the surgical team. Attention to detail and organization are critical for success in this role. Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with team members and addressing any instrument-related concerns. This position may require flexibility to float within the facility as needed. Availability for work on weekends is required.
