Job Title: Central Sterile Technician Profession: Central Sterile Technician Specialty: Central Sterile Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; 2-4 years preferred License: Not specified Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required Must-Have: High School Diploma or Equivalent Description: Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures. Follows infection control standards and industry regulations related to sterilization. Processes specialty and general instruments effectively. Resets instrument sets without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to established procedures. Maintains stock levels in the Central Sterile Department. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment according to established listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to the supervisor. Knowledge of case cart assembly is required. Familiarity with regulatory standards related to materials management is essential. Responsible for conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Availability to work Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.
