Job Title: Central Sterile Technician Profession: Central Sterile Technician Specialty: Central Sterile Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required, 2-4 years preferred License: Required Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Must-Have: High School Diploma or Equivalent Description: Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment according to established procedures. Ensures compliance with infection control standards, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Processes specialty and general instruments. Resets instrument sets without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure. Maintains Central Sterile Department stock levels. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings. Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor. Knowledge of case cart assembly is essential. Familiarity with regulatory standards of materials management is required. Conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.
