Job Title: Sterile Technician Profession: Sterile Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Must-Have: - Certification Description: The position involves working in the operating room setting. Responsibilities include decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and scope reprocessing. Familiarity with basic orthopedic, general, gynecological, and gastrointestinal cases is required. Experience in acquiring and handling equipment like the da Vinci robot is beneficial. The schedule consists of Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 9:30 PM with required weekend call. Call response time is expected within 30 minutes. Holiday and weeknight call requirements are also part of the role. Hospital scrubs will be provided for the position. Orientation will include unit-specific training to ensure readiness for the role. The hospital retains the right to cancel up to four shifts during the 13-week assignment. The facility uses the EPIC charting system. Self-scheduling is not permitted for this role.
