Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (22:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required, travel experience preferred License: Not applicable Certifications: - CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician (via HSPA) - CSPDT Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (via CBSPD) - BLS AHA preferred in hand Must-Have: - Proficiency with Censitrac instrument tracking tool - Experience with Steris washers and sterilizers, VPRO Max, ultrasonic, Medivators Description: Start date is within the next 3-5 weeks. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 22:30 to 07:00 with one weekend on-call per month. Experience with cleaning equipment such as crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps is required. Knowledge of High-Level Disinfection (HLD) is essential. Candidates should be familiar with the use of washers and sterilizers. Proper selection of wrapping materials and sterilization wrapping procedures is necessary. Experience in sets/trays assembly and equipment documentation is required. Skills in sterilization processes including biological and chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) are necessary. Candidates must have experience in an acute hospital environment and be familiar with charting systems. Experience with various patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics is preferred. Daily census is approximately 25-30 cases per day. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is important.
