Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of SPT experience required License: Not specified Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM required Must-Have: Attention to detail to ensure patient safety and correct processes for instrument reprocessing. Description: This position involves sterile processing of instruments to support a high volume surgical department. The department encompasses a variety of service lines including Neuro, Ortho, Robotic, Cysto, Women's, Pediatrics, and General procedures. A high level of attention to detail is essential to ensure patient safety and adherence to correct processes for instrument reprocessing. The role involves limited volume of Immediate Use Steam Sterilization (IUSS), which must be managed according to regulations. Candidates will need to handle decontamination, preparation, and sterilization processes in compliance with established standards. The position does not require on-call duty and there is no floating to other units.
