Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care position requiring a WI or compact RN license and at least 2 years of MS or IMCU experience.

Details

  • Work in a Stepdown Intermediate Care unit within a hospital setting
  • Care for a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac (preferably cardiac drips), post-op (ortho, GU, GYN, gen surg), and general medical patients
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale
  • At least 2 years of MS or IMCU experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • Must be adaptable and able to care for a wide variety of patient types

Additional Information

  • Provide patient care across a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions requiring stepdown-level monitoring
  • Radius rule applies, which may affect eligibility for the travel pay rate for local candidates
  • COVID vaccination is not required
  • Candidates should discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date
