Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/PCU position requiring 1+ year of Medical/Surgical Stepdown experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in an 8-bed PCU/Stepdown unit serving as a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MST) overflow unit
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring with cardiac monitoring and emergency response duties
• Requires interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• 3x12 hour shifts with day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) options, variable and rotating weekends
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical Stepdown experience required
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• Copies of all current certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive patient and family-centered nursing care addressing both potential and actual health issues
• Follow scope and standards of professional nursing practice
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Holiday periods begin at 7:00 PM the night before and end at 7:00 AM the day after the holiday
• Returning staff or travelers must have a separation period of at least 1 year before returning
