Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – Acute CareJob Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support speech therapy services in an acute care setting. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality patient care across inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing speech therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising SLP
- Provide therapy for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Support bedside swallow evaluations and therapy sessions
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe and compliant clinical environment
