Position: Speech Therapist II (Home Health) $$SN$$
Location: Newport Beach, California
Shift: Days – 5x8s (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
• Assess patients for speech therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Establish goals of care in collaboration with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Evaluate speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and communication impairments.
• Implement and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical findings.
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver education regarding therapy techniques, home exercises, and equipment use.
• Conduct regular re-evaluations and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Manage multiple patient caseloads while maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Assist with orienting new staff and serve as a clinical instructor for interns as needed.
• Participate in continuing education activities and provide staff in-services when appropriate.
• Conduct literature reviews and clinical consultations to support evidence-based practice.
