We are seeking an experienced Travel Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead the rehabilitation department at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily therapy operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the success of the rehabilitation team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Director of Rehabilitation in a Skilled Nursing Facility and a strong understanding of PDPM (Patient-Driven Payment Model).

Assignment Details
  • Guaranteed Hours:35 hours per week
  • Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
  • Preferred Discipline:Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department
  • Supervise and support therapists and therapy assistants to ensure quality patient care
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental performance
  • Ensure compliance with PDPM guidelines, Medicare regulations, and facility policies
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department performance monitoring
  • Assist with staff onboarding, mentoring, and performance evaluations
  • Provide direct patient care as needed based on facility requirements
  • Foster a collaborative, patient-centered rehabilitation environment
Requirements
  • Required: Active professional license in an accepted rehabilitation discipline (SLP preferred)
  • Required: Previous Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
  • Required: Strong working knowledge of PDPM
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance
