Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist Profession: Speech and Language Pathology Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years minimum home care experience License: Massachusetts Speech and Language Pathologist License Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS Must-Have: Master's or Doctorate Degree Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Valid Driver License Description: The speech/language pathologist is responsible for providing speech therapy services to clients. The primary function is the provision of direct patient care. This includes collaboration with other team members. Participation in the development of the patient's comprehensive plan of care is essential. Knowledge of and familiarity with rehabilitation equipment, including communication aids and wheelchairs, is required. The traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision or assistance is necessary. Acute care experience is preferred. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to engage with clients. Requests for time off during the course of this assignment must be noted prior to submission. No more than five days of requests for time off will be accepted.
