Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Profession: Speech Language Pathologist Specialty: N/A Duration: 13 weeks with possible conversion Shift: Wednesday to Saturday Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of one year of speech pathology experience in a health setting is required. License: Current State driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required. Certifications: Certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology. BLS certification preferred. Must-Have: - Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. - Must have reliable transportation and a telephone. - Adequate physical energy and tolerance to meet job demands. Description: Under general supervision of the therapy manager, implements treatment programs to provide in-home speech-language pathology services to assist clients with communication deficits. Candidate should have experience with inpatient rehab, adult acute care, and adult assessments, including bedside swallow or BIM assessment. Good documentation skills are essential. Self-starter with good communication skills needed. Experience with Cerner and Epic is a plus. Knowledge of the normal communications process, development, and disorders to evaluate clients and implement approved treatment techniques is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is necessary. Skills in clinical record maintenance, performance improvement, discharge planning, critical thinking, and stress management are beneficial. Candidate should have knowledge of communication processes, development, and disorders.
