Position Details

• Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED/ER RN)
• Contract Length:13–26 Weeks (91 days listed; assignment length selected at submission)
• Guaranteed Hours:36 or 48 hours/week (must be specified on submission)

Schedule

• Shift: Nights
• Hours:7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: As required by the facility

Requirements

• Current Missouri RN License (or eligible for Missouri licensure)
• 1 year ED experience in a Level I Trauma CenterOR
• 2 years ED experience in a Level II Trauma Center
• Experience must be clearly listed on the resume
• Trauma and pediatric experience preferred
• High-volume, high-acuity ED experience preferred

Required Experience

• Emergency Department
• Trauma care
• High-acuity emergency patients
• Stroke and STEMI patient care
• Burn patient care preferred
• Experience in a busy urban trauma center

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• TNCC
• NIHSS(may be pending at submission but must be obtained before start)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate emergency nursing care.
• Provide care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, burn, pediatric, and medical emergency patients.
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic.
• Protect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Deliver care consistent with Mercy's mission and service standards.

• Elevated Bill Rate: Available only for travelers who can start 8/17, 8/24, or 8/31
