Responsibilities
Provide direct labor and delivery nursing care to obstetric patients on-site.
Monitor maternal-fetal status and respond to obstetric emergencies promptly.
Demonstrate continuous professional development through certifications and skills enhancement.
Meet or exceed performance targets through efficient patient flow and pipeline management.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to develop care plans.
Document labor progress and patient outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, pain management, and postnatal care.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours coverage as required.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
Experience/Qualifications
Active RN license in Nebraska with OB/L&D certification preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years of labor & delivery nursing experience.
Current BLS and NRP certifications; willing to maintain ongoing education.
Proven ability to monitor maternal-fetal status and respond to emergencies.
Experience with electronic health records and accurate documentation.
Strong teamwork and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.
Demonstrated patient and family education skills on labor, delivery, and postnatal care.
Ability to meet performance targets and manage patient flow efficiently.
On-call availability and after-hours coverage as required.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
