Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Long Term Care position requiring Assisted Living and Short Term Rehab experience and an active MN RN license.

• Shifts scheduled 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM with day or night options available
• Requires working every 3rd weekend
• Facility retains option to call off or cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census

Requirements

• Active RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Active MN RN license required
• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the specialty setting required
• Rochester, MN facilities require 2 years of experience and/or 3 total travel assignments
• Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) or equivalent experience as outlined by applicable state requirements
• COVID vaccination and booster required for consideration

Additional Information

• Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
• Practice within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources
• Participate in committees or projects as needed
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
