Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Wausau, WI

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Every other weekend and holiday rotation

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all patient care areas of the hospital, including the Emergency Department and general care areas
• Perform ventilator management, critical care respiratory support, and basic respiratory care for patients of all age groups
• Conduct patient assessments and implement Assess and Treat Protocols
• Respond to emergency situations including Rapid Response and Code Blue events
• Operate and document using equipment including V60 BiPAP, Hamilton G5 and C1, and iStat; chart in Epic
• Float to additional facility locations within the health system as needed, with advance notice provided

• Active Wisconsin Respiratory Therapy license required
• NBRC RRT credential required; NBRC CRT accepted with RRT to be obtained within one year
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Advanced NRP certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience; pediatric and NICU experience required
• Previous travel/contract assignment experience required

• Experience with ventilator management in critical care settings
• Familiarity with Hamilton G5, Hamilton C1, and V60 BiPAP equipment
• Experience documenting in Epic EMR
• Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced hospital environment

• Guaranteed hours per week with low census protections and defined call-back pay provisions
