Respiratory Therapist (Adult)

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | 3x12-hour shifts, rotating days of the week, varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and some call shifts | 36 guaranteed hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and physician orders to improve cardiopulmonary conditions of patients across the age spectrum, from newborn to geriatric
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and initiate, modify, transition, discontinue, or restart therapy protocols based on patient condition in critical care, adult general care, and pediatric general care settings
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all patient records and department logs
- Ensure a positive patient experience through consistent communication, procedure explanation, and service recovery practices
- Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level, including potential work at secondary care sites
- Stay current with technological advances and clinical applications relevant to respiratory therapy
Required Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active Nevada State Respiratory Therapy License required
- Must obtain State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license (Director of Point of Care or General Supervisor of Point of Care) prior to start
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced Level I or Level II trauma center environment
- Familiarity with neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care respiratory protocols
- Experience with travel or multi-site healthcare assignments
