    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intensive respiratory care including operation of invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices as physician prescribed
    • Perform arterial punctures, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, oximetry and capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, and 12-Lead EKG with basic arrhythmia recognition
    • Assist with respiratory-related procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement; perform tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes
    • Set up, self-test, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment; assist with preventative maintenance and repair as needed
    • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines and insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via free hand technique and/or video laryngoscope
    • Accurately document all treatments, patient responses, and respiratory therapy charges in patient records and charts; communicate findings to attending and pulmonary physicians
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Respiratory Therapist license within the applicable state
    • Current BLS and ACLS certification
    • Ability to operate a wide range of respiratory care equipment with minimal supervision
    • Competency in performing arterial punctures, pulmonary function studies, and ventilator management
    • Strong documentation skills including accurate charting and respiratory therapy charge entry
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in moderate complexity laboratory testing procedures including specimen handling, quality controls, and equipment maintenance
    • Familiarity with PleurX catheter drainage and video laryngoscope systems
    • Experience with patient transport in an acute or intensive care setting
