Key Responsibilities
  • Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff across all appropriate age levels.
  • Document treatment information and patient responses accurately in the computerized medical record system.
  • Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients.
  • Serve as a resource person to medical staff regarding respiratory care procedures and equipment.
  • Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and operational.
  • Participate as a member of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
  • Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association) required within 3 months of hire.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Two (2) or more years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac systems across all patient age groups.
