Key Responsibilities- Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff across all appropriate age levels.
- Document treatment information and patient responses in the computerized medical record.
- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients.
- Serve as a resource to medical staff regarding respiratory care procedures and equipment.
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained, and keep accurate therapy records.
- Participate as a member of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests.
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Two (2) or more years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac systems across patient age groups.
- Proficiency with computer systems used in clinical documentation.
