Job Title

Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT - Pediatrics

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff across all appropriate age levels
  • Document treatment information and patient responses in the computerized medical record
  • Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
  • Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
  • Serve as a resource person to medical staff regarding respiratory care
  • Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
  • Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care; RRT credential must be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Two or more years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac systems across patient age groups
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under stress with strong interpersonal and communication skills
