Key Responsibilities- Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff
- Document treatment information and patient responses in the computerized medical record
- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients across all appropriate age groups
- Serve as a resource person to medical staff regarding respiratory care
- Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and operational
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within 12 months of hire
Preferred Experience / Skills- Two or more years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
- Strong clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac systems across patient age groups
- Ability to work effectively under stress with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
