Respiratory Therapist / PFT - Nights

Nashua, NH

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift

• Perform and document all respiratory therapy treatments in the electronic medical record (EMR), including aerosol therapy, oxygen administration, incentive spirometry, bronchial hygiene, chest physical therapy, and hyperinflation therapy
• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) drawing and analysis, pulse oximetry monitoring, and overnight saturation studies with report generation prior to end of shift
• Initiate and follow Therapist Driven Protocols (TDP), including assessment, frequency and duration of therapeutic regimens, and order entry/updates in EMR
• Manage continuous mechanical ventilation, perform spontaneous breathing trials, cuff pressure checks, and critical care procedures including endotracheal intubation and emergency airway management
• Respond to all Code Blue, Rapid Response Team (RRT), Trauma Team, and PCI Team activations; provide aggressive resuscitation support and appropriate oxygen delivery recommendations
• Perform charge duties as applicable, including workload distribution, supply stocking, equipment turnover, staffing coordination, and annual educational presentations to the Respiratory Therapy staff

• Current New Hampshire license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Demonstrated experience with mechanical ventilation, ABG analysis, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, and related respiratory modalities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with clinical staff and physicians

• Experience with neonatal and pediatric mechanical ventilation procedures
• Familiarity with screening pulmonary function studies (PFT)
• Prior charge or lead respiratory therapy experience including workload prioritization and staff coordination
