Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and plan appropriate treatments based on physician orders across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations, including a Level III NICU
- Administer and manage a broad range of respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, humidity therapy, airway management, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers, inhalers, chest physiotherapy, and postural drainage
- Manage and operate ventilators including Servo U, Hamilton G5, Hamilton T1 transport vent, Philips Respironics V60 for non-invasive ventilation, and high-flow systems (AirVo and MaxTech)
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and conduct EKGs during off-hours (5:00 PM through 7:00 AM and all weekend, excluding the ER)
- Perform independent adult intubations as required
- Collaborate with a team-oriented staff to manage variable treatment loads across floors and ICU settings, including patients on ventilators and non-invasive ventilation
Required Qualifications- RRT credential required; CRT accepted if license was held prior to July 1, 2022
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Must be able to perform independent adult intubation
- Prior Level II or Level III NICU experience with ventilator management required
- Experience with adult and pediatric floor care required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous Level III NICU experience strongly preferred given facility's NICU designation
- Comfort managing high-acuity, variable patient assignments across multiple care areas including ER, ICU, and general floors
- Experience with a broad range of ventilator platforms and high-flow oxygen delivery systems
