Contract | Night Shift | Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights) | Every other holiday | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and plan appropriate respiratory treatments based on physician orders across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations, including a Level III NICU
  • Manage and operate a variety of mechanical ventilators (Servo U, Hamilton G5, Hamilton T1 transport vent), non-invasive ventilation (Philips Respironics V60 BiPAP/CPAP), and high-flow systems (AirVo and MaxTech)
  • Perform independent adult intubation and provide airway management, resuscitation, postural drainage, chest physiotherapy, nebulizer and inhaler administration, O2 and humidity therapy, and ABG collection
  • Conduct EKGs during off-hours (5:00 PM through 7:00 AM the following morning and all weekend, excluding the ER)
  • Collaborate with an in-house hospitalist and intensivist team and coordinate with fellow therapists to balance and complete patient assignments across the ER, ICU, and general floors
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC EMR system
Required Qualifications
  • RRT credential required; CRT accepted if license was held prior to July 1, 2022
  • Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform independent adult intubation
  • Prior experience in a Level II or Level III NICU environment, including ventilator management of neonates
  • Experience providing care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior Level III NICU experience strongly preferred given the facility's NICU designation
  • Experience with pediatric floor care in addition to adult and neonatal settings
  • Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation modalities including BiPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy systems
